Pendayagunaan Nilai-Nilai Kearifan Lokal Tradisi Lisan Angkola Dalam Pembelajaran BIPA
Abstract
Abstrak: THE oral tradition of the Angkola community in South Tapanuli contains various local wisdom values that reflect the social, ethical, and cultural principles of community life. The oral tradition of the Angkola community is relevant in enriching the context of learning Indonesian for Foreign Speakers (BIPA). This study aims to describe the potential values of the Angkola oral tradition, such as the principle of Dalihan Na Tolu, the concept of holong (affection), and domu (intimacy) to be integrated into learning Indonesian for Foreign Speakers (BIPA). This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with documentation techniques, cultural discourse analysis, interpretation of local values , and content analysis of the forms of Angkola oral tradition. The analysis results show that integrating local wisdom values through activities based on folklore, oral tradition, and customary simulations enriches the language competence of international students interculturally. Oral tradition improves linguistic abilities and introduces social norms, polite interaction patterns, and understanding of Angkola culture to foreign speakers. Using Angkola oral tradition in BIPA learning can improve the intercultural competence of international students, enrich the context of language learning, and introduce the values of social harmony typical of Angkola in North Sumatra, Indonesia. This finding supports that BIPA learning based on local wisdom values effectively builds cross-cultural awareness. The utilization of the Angkola oral tradition needs to be developed systematically in a culture-based BIPA curriculum. The implication of this study is the need to develop BIPA teaching materials oriented towards local wisdom as a form of Indonesian cultural diplomacy.
