Dampak transformasi Digital terhadap Metodologi Pengajaran Bahasa
Abstract
Digital transformation has revolutionized various aspects of human life, including education—particularly in the field of language teaching methodology. The advancement of information and communication technologies has paved the way for the development of new teaching methods that are more interactive, flexible, and learner-centered. This study aims to explore the impact of digital transformation on the approaches and strategies used in language teaching in the modern era. The research method employed is literature review and qualitative analysis of relevant sources, including academic journals, research reports, and real-life teaching practices in both formal and informal educational settings. The findings indicate that the integration of digital technologies—such as AI-based language learning applications, online learning platforms (LMS), and social media—has expanded access to learning materials, increased students’ motivation, and empowered educators to deliver content more creatively. However, this transformation also brings new challenges, including digital inequality, limited technological literacy among educators, and potential distractions associated with digital device usage. Therefore, the development of language teaching methodologies in the digital era must be accompanied by digital competency training for teachers, adaptive curricula, and supportive educational policies that promote effective and inclusive technology integration. With the right approach, digital transformation can serve as a catalyst for creating a more dynamic and high-quality language learning process in the future.
