Proceeding International Seminar of Islamic Studies
Proceeding International Seminar of Islamic Studies Interdisciplinary is an annual international conference held by Faculty of Islamic Studies Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara. This conference is designed to accelerate the increase of knowledge, especially in the fields of: Islamic religious education, Islamic thought, Information Technology, Islamic law, social and politics and economics.
INSIS is considered one of the greatest conferences in UMSU. It is proven by its success in inviting prominent researchers, scholars, and lecturers across the globe to present diverse topics.
The objective of INSIS is to exchange and share ideas and research findings among presenters and audiences. Moreover, it serves as an open forum to discuss the most recent trends, innovations, challenges faced, and solutions adopted in the scope of Islamic religious education, Islamic thought, Information Technology, Islamic law, social and politics and economics.

SEMINAR INTERNASIONAL BIPA 2026
Seminar Internasional BIPA 2026 oleh Lembaga BIPA Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara dengan tema "Pengajaran Kebahasaan di Era Digital: Inovasi, Industrialisasi, dan Globalisasi BIPA" merupakan inisiatif strategis dalam mendukung pengembangan BIPA di tingkat internasional. Kegiatan ini dirancang sebagai forum akademik bergengsi yang mempertemukan para pemangku kepentingan akademisi, praktisi, dan pengambil kebijakan dalam satu ruang dialog ilmiah yang produktif dan kolaboratif. Melalui forum ini, berbagai gagasan, pengalaman, dan hasil penelitian akan dipertukarkan secara konstruktif untuk merespons dinamika pengajaran bahasa di era digital. Isu-isu strategis yang diangkat meliputi digitalisasi pembelajaran BIPA, penguatan industri dan peluang global, pengembangan kewirausahaan kebahasaan, perluasan lapangan kerja, inovasi pendekatan dan strategi pengajaran, integrasi budaya dalam pembelajaran, serta transformasi digital dalam pengajaran bahasa. International Conference on English Teaching and Linguistics (ICoETLin)
The English Education Study Program, situated at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU), aims to be distinguished in the development of knowledge, technology, professionalism, and the character of human resources in the field of English Education.Its primary objective is to produce highly competent graduates who excel in teaching English, conducting research and community service, and exhibiting personality. The program strives to be a source of creativity, innovation, and utility for the education and language communities, as well as the general public, with a significant impact on improving the quality of human resources for the 5.0 industrial revolution era, especially for educators and faculty members. To achieve its stated vision, mission, and objectives, the English Language Education Study Program recognizes the need for innovative and creative initiatives. Along with curriculum updates and enhanced teaching quality, the program seeks to foster increased collaboration and implement academic activities such as conferences, seminars, and workshops. In line with this approach, the English Language Education Study Program intends to host The Annual Business Meeting of APSPBI & International Conference on English Teaching and Linguistics (ICo-ETLin) in conjunction with the Central Association of English Education Study Programs (APSPBI). This annual event is a significant undertaking, carried out regularly with participation from English Education Study Programs across Indonesian universities that are members of the APSPBI.
