Study of Accelerating Technology, Consumerism and Credit Risk Issues

Abstract


This research discusses the relationship between technological acceleration and consumerist behavior in society. The method used is literature study, technological developments and the ease of taking out loans (pinjol) is misused, giving rise to hedonism which begins with consumerist behavior. Large loans that are not followed by the ability to repay lead to bad credit, exacerbated by loan abuse and lack of bank supervision.  The government should strengthen regulations for handling problem loans. Overcoming a hedonic lifestyle requires individual awareness, a holistic approach, as well as the role of religion and culture. In the case of problematic credit
