Reviewing Accessibility in Eastern Indonesia and its Effect on Poverty

Abstract


This study aims to analyze the accessibility of society in Eastern Indonesia to the level of poverty. Accessibility in this study is proxied by the variables of education, access to proper drinking water, access to electricity, and the level of employment opportunities. This research uses case studies of 12 provinces in Eastern Indonesia and the observation period of 2012-2021, using a panel data regression analysis approach. The findings from this study are that the variables of education, access to proper drinking water, and the level of employment opportunities have a negative and significant effect on the level of poverty. While the variable access to electricity has no significant effect on the poverty rate
